Pickles - Apple Chutney

8 cup apples, pared, chopped
2 cup golden raisins
Peel of 2 oranges, finely chopped
4 12 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/3 tsp cloves
1 cup chopped pecans (opt.)
Combine all ingredients in large saucepan. Bring to rolling boil, reduce heat to simmer. Cook slowly until apples are tender. Remove from heat and ladle into hot, sterilized jars . Process 5 minutes in boiling water bath .
