| 1 lb ground beef | | 2 can kidney beans | | 1 lrg can V-8 juice | | 1 sm head cabbage sliced | | 1 med onion chopped | | 1 sm can crushed or chopped tomato optional | | 1 pch salt optional | | 1 tsp chili powder (1 to 2) |
| | This can be cooked on the stove or in a crock pot. Put V-8 juice in the pot or crock pot. Now, brown ground beef and add to the juice. You can now add the rest of the ingredients. Cook over simmer heat until the cabbage is done or to the consistency you like. Stir occasionally. You can serve this over rice and you can also sprinkle with cheese . It is really good. Tried and true old family recipe right out of my grandmothers kitchen. They had veggie juice back then, not the v-8. |
