Pies and Tarts - Allgood Raisin Pie

12 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 x egg yolks
2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
1 cup raisins
1 cup pecans chopped
1 tsp vanilla
2 x egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 x 9 inch pie shell
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and vinegar . Beat well. Add raisins , nuts and vanilla . Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour in unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 300-325 for 1 hour.
