Pies and Tarts - Alaskan Pie

crust
1 cup chocolate wafer or oreo
cookie crumbs
12 cup to 1/4 cup butter melted
filling
1 qt to 2 qts. peppermint stick
or vanilla ice cream soften
meringue
3 x egg whites
1 cup marshmallow creme
1 tsp vanilla
sauce
2 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 tbl butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 x 6 oz. cn evaporated milk
Crust: Combine cookie crumbs and butter . Press into 9 or 10" pie plate. Chill.
Filling: Spoon into chilled crust and freeze until firm (may be covered with baked meringue or served with chocolate sauce only).
Meringue: Beat egg whites until stiff. Add marshmallow cream gradually and continue beating. Stir in vanilla . Spread meringue over ice cream
